Steels used for bearing rings and balls must be cap able of being ade quately hardened and must have high fatigue strength and wear resistance. The structural and dimensional stability of the bearing components must be satisfactory at the operating temperatures which can be expected.
The standard material for bearing rings and balls is vacuum degassed high carbon chromium steel allowing high carbon chromium steel allowing high quality consistency and long bearing service life, material symbol as per china Standard is GCr15. (Table 1, Table 2)

Cage (Retainer)
The main purpose of the cage is to keep the balls at an appropriate distance from each other and to prevent immediate contact between two neighboring balls in order to keep friction and thus heat generation at a minimum.
